IB University Entrance

The IB Diploma is a challenging programme of study that is internationally recognised by top ranked universities. Below are a selection of comments from Admissions Tutors at top universities:

Harvard: “IB is well known to us for excellent preparations. Success in an IB programme correlates well with success at Harvard. We are always pleased to see the credentials of the IB Diploma Programme on the transcript.”

London School of Economics: “We find that because the IB is intellectually and personally demanding, it provides a very good springboard for study at university level.”

The University of Exeter: “The interesting finding that we have is that those who are coming in with the International Baccalaureate do better in firsts and 2.1s than the average, by about 6%, and no IB student has yet dropped out of university. We think that that is worth noting.”

The University of Glasgow: “We view the IB as excellent preparation for our courses and we very much welcome applications from IB students.”

The University of  Cambridge: Because the IB differentiates better than A Levels … if we are hesitating about making an offer, we would be more likely to make an offer to an IB student than an A Level student.
