As a voluntary aided school, we are required to deliver the full National Curriculum which has emphasised the need to present a balanced and broadly based curriculum which promotes the spiritual, moral, intellectual and physical development of our students and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. For pastoral purposes all pupils are allocated to a tutorial group in which they remain from Year 7 to Year 11. Pupils remain in these groups for Personal, Social and Health Education and Vocational Guidance. Key Stage 3 In Years 7 to 9, all pupils study Religious Education and the National Curriculum (English, Mathematics, Science, French, Geography, History, Design and Technology, Information Communication Technology, Art, Music and Physical Education). Pupils in Year 7 to 9 also study Drama. In Years 8 and 9, pupils also study a second Modern Foreign Language (Spanish or German) and Latin. Option choices At the appropriate time in Year 9, pupils are given guidance about courses through a booklet, careers advice and an interview with senior staff. There is a Parents’ Evening for consultation with staff. Every effort is made to ensure pupils have a balanced curriculum suited to their individual needs. Key Stage 4 In Years 10 and 11 all pupils study English, Mathematics. Religious Education, Physical Education (GCSE or core), and Applied Science. Those with particular ability have the opportunity to study three separate sciences. Pupils also choose three subjects from Design Technology, Engineering Geography, Health and Social Care, History, ICT, a Modern Foreign Language, Latin, Music, Art, Drama, Media Studies.

Pupils: Pupils will be notified of the change and the emphasis on punctuality and bringing all bags etc to lessons through: The school gate will be closed at 8.55 and latecomers will have to report to Admin The dining room will stop serving at 1.05 (Clubs/lunchtime activities please take note)
Sanctions - 1st Late = warning
- 2nd Late = 300 word essay
- 3rd Late or no essay = detention
Acknowledgements - Attendance and Punctuality Certificates will be awarded every term/academic year
