23 pupils from St.Robert’s have been involved in working on large scale (mainly) collaborative Art work, for several weeks, for an important exhibition in Durham Cathedral. The exhibition was organised by the Catholic Partnership, with ten other secondary schools involved.
This promises to be a very exciting exhibition – not only because of the prestigious venue, but because it will be a display of pupils’ personal interpretation of the exhibition theme, using a whole range of different media.
The exhibition will consist of work on a variety of scales (St. Robert’s has some of the biggest!) and is to be hung in the Galilee Chapel.
St. Robert’s pupils (Yr. 8, 9 and 10) have sacrificed a lot of their own time and are to be congratulated on their efforts as they have shown real dedication and persistence, working well in a team situation. They, and their families, have been invited to attend the exhibition preview on Monday 18th. January.
The exhibition is open to the public – that’s you! – from 19th. January to 31st. January 2010.
Mr. Cowen would like to thank Mrs. G. Baines, Mr. Kelly, Mr. S.Smith and
Mrs. B. Wilson for their involvement and commitment to this project.
