Launch of Application Cycle 2015/16

The application cycle for Academic Year 2015/16 opened on 26th January 2015. Applications can be made by visiting along with a range of supporting information.

New Resources

New resources have been added to our Practitioner Website to coincide with the launch of the new application cycle. New quick start guides, factsheets and a range of videos can be found at

New interactive student finance guides available!

Following the success of our quick guides, we’ve produced a series of new interactive student finance quick start guides to help support the launch of the 2015/16 application service, which is now open. The quick start guides allow students and parents to find out the different types of student finance available – including how to apply and repay – all in one central place.

The design mimics an ‘app’, making it user friendly and easy to share on mobile devices and will guide students and parents through to further content on and our dedicated student finance zone on The Student Room at appropriate points.

Please encourage your students to use this essential information by embedding our ‘button’ on your website. Just follow our simple instructions here – it’s that easy! We’ve also produced a handy presentation to show you the benefits of using the new interactive quick start guides and the ways in which you can share them with students and parents.

Student Finance Calculator 2015/16

The Student Finance Calculator for 2015/16 is now available and can be accessed via the Student Room and Direct Gov websites. This tool allows students to gain an indication of the level of support that they may be able to access for study in 2015/16.
